AbISCO®-100
-- for mice and other sensitive animals
A selection of purified fractions of quillaja saponins formulated with a mixture of cholesterol (ovine wool) and phosphatidyl choline (egg). The product is sterilized by filtration through 0.22 µm sterile filter. The material is tested for endotoxin. If required, the preparation can be sterile filtered again without significant loss of material.
Note: AbISCO-100 is a research adjuvant -- not for human use.
Easy to use with any antigen. A solution of AbISCO®-100 is non-viscous; no adsorption of antigen or emulsification process is necessary. Just mix an appropriate amount of AbISCO®-100 with the antigen in PBS or saline. AbISCO®-100 is especially designed for use in mice and other particularly sensitive animals.
Stable more than 24 months at +2 to +8°C. To ensure stability of the saponins, do not store adjuvant/antigen solutions at pH exceeding pH 7.4.
The toxicity of saponin preparations has previously been a severe problem in mice. AbISCO®-100 adjuvant is made from a special mixture of saponin fractions and is optimized for maximum adjuvant effect following subcutaneous administration in the neck or preferably at the base of the tail. Formulation into an ISCOM particle reduces the inherent lytic activity of the quillaja saponins to minimum.
Note: Intravenous, intraperitoneal or foot-pad routes of administration are not recomended.
Quality control: HPLC, electron microscopy and sterility.
Supplied as: PBS suspension.
