Intervacc completes successful horse vaccine study using Isconova's Matrix C™adjuvant

Intervacc is currently developing Strangvac®, a vaccine against the horse disease strangles which uses Isconovas Matrix C ™ adjuvant. Strangles is an infection caused by the Streptococcus equi bacteria which is a major problem for horses and horse-owners.
Intervacc has recently completed a study to establish a suitable level of antigens in the Strangvac® vaccine and to assess the protective effect of two intramuscular injections. The study showed that a very low dose of antigen together with Isconova’s adjuvant resulted in the same efficacy as a ten times higher dose of antigen. There is currently no optimal strangles vaccine in the market.
